MEMBERSHIP INFORMATION
NACSM members work in wide range of medical specialties, allied health professions and scientific disciplines. Our members are exercise scientists, physical therapists, physicians, nurses, athletic trainers, personal trainers and health/fitness instructors, just to name a few!
Almost all NACSM transactions are via email. If you are not receiving email from the chapter and your membership is current, please contact the chapter office for help. This link is to our list of known members with email address problems.
TWO EASY WAYS TO JOIN-
MEMBERSHIP TYPES & FEES-
NACMS PROFESSIONAL MEMBER:
Candidates for membership must possess a bachelor's degree in a field related to health, physical education, exercise science, athletic training, biology or an allied health field; or must hold the equivalent of one of these degrees and be professionally working in a related profession. Dues are $35 per year.
NACSM STUDENT MEMBER:
Those enrolled as graduate, undergraduate, medical or other students seeking degrees in health, physical education, exercise science, athletic training, medicine or an allied health fields and carrying at least one-half of a full academic load during one semester of a school year. Dues are $15 per year.
NACSM ASSOCIATE MEMBER:
Open to any person with an interest in sports medicine or its related fields, who does not qualify for PROFESSIONAL or STUDENT member. Dues are $35 per year.
FACSM:
Fellow, American College of Sports Medicine: this is an honorary category, limited to Current or Emeritus Fellows of the American College of Sports Medicine. Dues are the same as for NACSM PROFESSIONAL MEMBER for current Fellows. Dues are waived for Emeritus Fellows.
